- LFGT-ZLJ0115 (Holotypus): Dieser Fund besteht aus einem nahezu vollständigen Schädel mit Unterkiefer, 11 zusammenhängenden, vorderen Wirbeln.[4]

- Yuanmouraptor wurde erstmals von Y. Zou et al. (2025) benannt. Sein Typ ist Y. jinshajiangensis.
- Er wurde der Metriacanthosauridae von Y. Zou et al. (2025) zugeordnet.[4]
Arten[]
- Y. jinshajiangensis ist die einzige bekannte Art dieser Gattung. Sie wurde 2025 von Yi Zou, Li Chen, Tao Wang, Guo-Fu Wang, Wei-Gang Zhang, Xiao-Qin Zhang, Zhen-Ji Wang, Xiao-Chun Wu und Hai-Lu You beschrieben. Das Art-Epitheton bezieht sich auf den Jinsha Fluss, der durch die Region Yuanmou fließt.[4]
